New Zealand Combined Events Championships


Date and Venue: 6 & 7 February 2021 - Nga Puna Wai, Christchurch

Entries to close at: 11:59pm Sunday January 31st 2021

Entry Fees: Championship Grades - $46.80 inc. processing fee, U16 grade $21.60 inc. processing fee.

Championship Grades: U18, U20, Senior & Masters - Men's Decathlon and Women's Heptathlon

Masters Grades will be run within the other grades where it is applicable i.e. Hurdles will be with the height/distance that is most applicable.

U16 South Island-Championship Grade: Under 16 Girls Hexathlon (High Jump, Javelin, 200m, 80m Hurdles, Shot Put, 600m). Under 16 Boys Octathlon (100m, Javelin, Pole Vault, 300m, 100m Hurdles, Discus, Long Jump, 1000m). Athletes may drop one event - i.e. 5 of 6 to count for Girls, 7 of 8 to count for boys. 

Implement Weights and Hurdles Distances/Heights for the U16s are as below

W16 SP – 3kg/JT-500g/80m H – 762mm
M16 SP – 5kg/DT-1.25kg/JT-600g/80m H – 762mm

Age Grades: Under 16 Grade is for athletes born in 2006, 2007 or 2008 only, NB. Athletes who have not turned 16 by the start of the competition are eligible for this grade, All under age grades are age as at 31 December 2021 - i.e U18 - must be 17 or under on 31/12/21, U20 - must be 19 or under on 31/12/21.  Masters Age Grade is age as at 6 February 2021. Minimum Masters age 35 years old.
